Starting Over

Dry Creek:  An Experiment in Sustainable Living

Follow along as one family does something really stupid: Steve and Marci give up secure careers teaching in Arizona and return to his family land in rural Utah, watered only by a seasonal creek, with the dream of eventually turning their land into an enterprise that will not only sustain them and their four children, but will sustain their extended family for generations to come.
Follow them as they work towards creating Dry Creek Farm on 10 acres of the 90 acres the family holds.  The vision:   A small scale farm with an art gallery, home canning store and extensive Italian and native gardens.
The catch:  They have no nest egg, no jobs lined up, and will have to start from scratch.
This photo shows a good portion of the 10 acres that is ours.
Our home now sits next to the lean-to barn on the right-hand of the photo.
